"Flying Geese" $800
This 30" round canvas, features 8 enameled geese shaped copper blanks mounted on this canvas painted against a rich sky in acrylics. The distant sky at the top forewarns the coming of a colder season and time to seek a warmer climate. Just as so many retirees travel south for the winter, the 'snow birds.' Many 'snowbirds' travel from as far north as Canada, just like our Canadian Geese. Some settle as far down as Key West, Florida, where the weather is mostly warm, even during the winter months. There seems to be a Follow the Leader formation for our birds, but there is also a similar phenomenon as the Traffic increases North to South and back again in the Spring.

"R.21" : SOLD
Assemblage’ ( March 2016 ) 30 x 30 x 3 inches round canvas
This 30" round canvas is dominated by several copper curved strips, some bare and some darkened like a patina, mounted on this canvas which is painted in acrylics - a future, not of this world. R.21 is a reference to a chapter in the bible written my John. This perspective is abstracted by presenting dark blocks as the gates, the heavenly variety of jewels hidden within the scape and vastness of this futuristic place in John's vision. This circular composition has no actual light source "..the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon.." Rev. 21:23, but the listing of the many jewels and the fluid movement of the copper strips, like waves of grace inviting you to enter by the many gates, or 'doors' found in the sky, beyond the seas of space - rippling deeper as well as weightless, into this mysterious dimension. Let your eyes travel and each time you will find something new, fanciful, organic, atmospheric, reflective, symbolic, curious and a chance to discuss alternate visions of future dimensions.

"RHYTHMS IN THE RAIN FOREST" $600
RHYTHMS IN THE RAIN FOREST
30" round canvas
RHYTHMS IN THE RAIN FOREST is part of a series using fibers as the dominant element. Here the hand woven fiber area symbolizes the musical staff and the patina beads are the notes. the triangle in the background represents the rhythm of a tribal like drum beat. the imagery of forest life is hidden behind the denseness of draping vines, moisture, dew and falling raindrops glistening in the neutral tones.

"Eternity in the Midst" SOLD
Eternity in our Midst is the beginning of a new series of fiber dominated pieces I am working on. The misty dawn exploding beneath the royal color of violet, the fibers bursting with joy, are captivating. The tiny details of amber glass beads and a small enameled bead, hidden in the plush fibers symbolize the coexistence of both, human and celestial, are entertaining the same space. The little hidden enameled bead resembles of bee hidden in a flower, soaking up the nectar [or grace] from it's 'supreme' host! The vertical dark purple stripe symbolizes the central presence of our creator, the source of all existence, yet also infused in all of what exists. This assemblage or mixed media on canvas is 12" X 18".
It is available through the Green patch Gallery in Broadview Heights, Ohio.
“The Journey" Mixed media on Canvas(March 2016 ) 30 inches round “The Journey" is a Mixed media on a round 30” Canvas. This is about a journey, a memory, a reflection of the life of Jesus from Mary’s perspective. Mary and Joseph look out as in a trance, or reliving a past. Remembering moments tenderly and yet, like our minds, fractured into bits, like a dream. Did this really happen? To me? To us? The Stars in the sky that guided the wise man, like a lovely burst of flowers from the sun, or exotic brocaded fabrics. The temple crowns the top with 3 leaves, each leaf is a prediction of a new phase, turning of a new leaf or chapter; Frankincense, gold and myrrh. The journey via beast to the grand desert. Miracle of the loaves and fishes are outlined by a spiral of stone blocks for all the roads and buildings. Behind the staff are many dirt roads, one paved in gold another in patterns of red, for blood. The background is layers of many patterns as many woven fabrics as seen from the font, but the back is what is seen from our time here on Earth, seems so flawed or impossible, the map of our journeys, one on top on another all blending together to create God’s perfect will, perfect journey for each one of us!!

"Mother and Child" NFS
"Mother and Child" is 12 X 36" color pencil on canvas. A special goldmarker was used to create the pattern in the background. My inspiration came from the beautiful statue to the left of the alster at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Brecksville, Ohio. I was asked to do something very special one day formy dear friends on their wedding anniversary. On this Day, is a wonderful Mary song, and i was asked to prayerfully sign this song during Mass. I used this image, the statue as my focus and so I really looked at this holy image of Our Lady and was so deeply touched. I took several photos and noticed that my perspective would always be off. She , the image of Mary and Jesus, is so high and so tall. I wondered if that could be a taste of heaven, to see larger than life images of heavenly bodies of saints and angels and all the heavenly hosts. I find myself looking at the imagery in the stain glasswindows and other statues, paintings and icons. There is such a mystery there.

"Crisp Morning" $600
“Crisp Morning" Acrylic on Canvas(March 2016 ) 30 inch Round
Early on a bright crisp morning I got into the passenger seat of the car. Looking out the window, before I lowered the window to clear the view, I watched the drips of condensation follow down the glass as I could barely see beyond to the view of trees. It captured my imagination and my intrigue with layers and distortions. It was more about the movement downward, how light mixed with drips of water, the smell of the air and the cool crispness of the temperature as the morning tried to push through with the new warm sunlight. It’s just a simple ordinary moment that recurs occasionally, but I just take that moment to pause and enjoy.

"MESSAGES FROM BEYOND" SOLD - prints available
Did you see those lights flicker? I could swear I heard someone calling my name? A little birdies told me.....You will find birds and yellow feathers. Oh I just saw someone who looked just like you, but I knew it couldn't have been you because you are beyond now. 'Crossing the Rainbow' is no different. We sometimes get messages from 'the beyond' and don't even realize it until that moment has passed. We make these mysterious connections, and yet wonder if it really happened. How about that inspiration for an idea, from where do they exist and how do they enter our minds? Some of these are pure as gold and so are the gold patches in this piece, pure gold foil. This is not a new feeling and so there is an ancient quality in this college' along with a sense of respect for all that exists from the past. We are never really alone, are we?
"Waiting for the Boil" NFS
“Waiting for the Boil" assemblage withan enameled disc ( April2017 ) 12x12 inches
My transition from enamel to color pencil has taken it’s stretch!! Even my color pencil style is starting to emerge into a style I am beginning to embrace. This has been my journey of medium and technique , traditional and the breaking of the traditional, to explore and experiment with color, texture, quality of line and overlapping of patterns on shiny surfaces as well as paper and now even wood! I had to learn to step away in order to grow, for a watched pot takes so long to boil. But if I just allow myself to grow, explore and check in once in a while, I will naturally become the artist I always wanted to be, and continue to grow as I can now add new things to my ‘boiling pot’, I am an Artist!
